PROSVITA School Powers Through Outages with Support from Women’s Opportunity Fund
In Brovary, PROSVITA School is ensuring that blackouts don’t disrupt education. With grant support from WOF-UA, the school purchased laptops, projectors and a hybrid power system that allows classes to continue uninterrupted, even during air raids and blackouts.
The upgrades have already enabled new tech-forward programming, including an IT club and Minecraft lessons for younger students. This initiative is part of the broader “Fueling the Business” program, which also helped women-led enterprises across 11 regions in Ukraine secure backup energy solutions to keep their operations running strong.
Through the fund’s Power Independence Program, PROSVITA received two portable projectors for use in shelters, four laptops to expand its IT program and a hybrid inverter with battery storage to power essential equipment like lights, internet and classroom technology. The system provides up to four hours of electricity-free operation, which is critical amidst today’s unstable energy conditions.
