Hosting a Passover-Themed Learning and Community Event in Israel
Last week, Project Kesher Israel (PKI) hosted a major event centered around the upcoming Passover holiday attended by approximately 200 people. The gathering featured a learning session led by Rabbi Olya Weinstein, CEO of PKI, that explored feminist perspectives on Pesach; women's leadership; and an in-depth reading of the Song of Songs, a text traditionally associated with the holiday. The focus on women's voices resonated deeply with event attendees, sparking a rich and engaging discussion.
In addition, highly recognized Israeli guide Zeev Volk delivered a lecture about themes of renewal and freedom in connection with both Passover and the history of Tel Aviv—an especially timely topic given the city's birthday coincides with the holiday. The day concluded with a session allowing all PKI coordinators to share their current challenges, providing an opportunity for peer learning and strengthening collaboration across the network.
