Awarding Women Entrepreneurs Scholarships for Business Education
Project Kesher Ukraine’s Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA) recently held an internal competition for alumnae of its grant program, offering them a unique chance to advance their education at the Business School of Ukrainian Catholic University (UCU). Focused on empowering women entrepreneurs, the competition awarded three scholarships—two for the Effective Small Business Management program and one for the Business Solutions for Medical Centers program. In addition to tuition, the Fund will cover hotel accommodations in Lviv during training sessions.
WOF-UA grantees who will receive the scholarships include: Halyna Repariuk, co-owner of Galiya, a coffee and pastry shop chain; Hanna Yurchenko, founder of an inclusive social food space; and Svitlana Yurchenko, who founded and operates a rehabilitation center for children with developmental disabilities. In their applications, the winners illustrated their vision for growth and clearly articulated how the UCU programs will help them overcome existing challenges and enhance their management and leadership skills to drive growth for the benefit of their businesses and communities.
