Life Must Go On: Aid for Premature Babies in Ukraine's Conflict Zone

Amidst escalating rocket strikes in Ukrainian cities like Sumy and Kryvyi Rih, the percentage of premature births has risen—a trend that is consistent with global statistics on the impacts of war.

Project Kesher’s on-the-ground presence here has allowed us to facilitate a targeted response. Notably, Project Kesher Ukraine’s Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA) arranged the acquisition and delivery of a modern CPAP therapy system to the maternity ward of Dnipro Clinical Hospital. This technology serves as a lifeline for premature babies, aiding their breathing as their lungs continue to develop.

Embedding fully in the communities in which we provide assistance allows Project Kesher to meet immediate needs, without duplicating the efforts of other NGOs. We look forward to offering further help to these new moms, including psychological support and supplies for newborns.
