Targeted Mental Health Support for PKI Participants
Throughout the war to the ceasefire, Project Kesher Israel conducted surveys with hundreds of women and LGBTQ+ group participants, revealing not only high levels of stress, anxiety, and isolation, but also a critical lack of accessible emotional and psychosocial support. Even when services exist, many Russian-speaking immigrants and LGBTQ+ individuals face barriers—language gaps, limited outreach, and a sense that available care is not meant for them.
In response, PKI partnered with Clalit Health Services to connect participants with its Resilience Training program—an accessible, short-term mental health intervention offering structured support around challenges such as anxiety, emotional overwhelm, and recovery from stress. For many, this serves as a vital first step: providing practical tools, stabilization, and a pathway toward further care.
Through tailored guidance and Russian-language support, PKI is ensuring these services are not only available, but truly accessible. This work reflects PKI’s core role—breaking down barriers, building trusted connections, and turning existing resources into real, life-changing support for those who need it most.
