Comfort Kits Training in Vinnytsia Helps Mothers Support Children Through Stress

A recent training in Vinnytsia brought together mothers and children to learn practical tools for managing stress using PKU’s Comfort Kits. The session focused on emotional self-regulation and how simple objects—such as soft toys, stress balls, and creative materials—can help children feel safe and process difficult emotions.

Guided by a psychologist, mothers practiced breathing techniques, grounding exercises, and supportive responses to common stressful situations. The workshop emphasized hands-on learning, giving participants tools they could immediately use at home.

The training is part of the Comfort Kits initiative implemented by PKU in partnership with the Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine, helping families create moments of calm and connection even during challenging times. As one participant shared, “The most valuable part was the practical exercises. That same evening my daughter and I tried one of the techniques, and I saw how quickly she calmed down.”
