WOF-UA Launches Grant Program for Women-Owned Child Development Centers
With the support of The Jewish Federations of North America, the Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine is opening a new round of mini-grants for women entrepreneurs in the child development/care sector. These grants—up to $1,700—are designed to help purchase essential equipment and expand their businesses.
The grants can be awarded to both women with existing businesses who are planning to scale their operations, as well as women who are preparing to launch a child-focused business, so long as they have a ready-to-implement business plan, and are committed to registering as individual entrepreneurs within 3 months of receiving the grant (formal registration is required for funding).
“We understand how important it is to invest in extracurricular education, the development of children’s soft skills and talents, foreign language learning, and environments that nurture personal growth and social interaction,” said Vlada Nedak, founder of the Women’s Opportunity Fund. “That’s why we want to support the owners of private centers in their mission to make Ukrainian children’s leisure time more meaningful and engaging—while also contributing to their social integration.”
