Love Rises Creates 300 Toy Sets for Comfort Kits

The social enterprise Love Rises has produced 300 handmade “Finger Theater” toy sets for the Comfort Kits initiative, supported by the Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine. The toys were lovingly crafted by internally displaced women from the Luhansk and Donetsk regions.

Comfort Kits help children cope with stress and anxiety through play and creativity. Distributed to communities across Ukraine, they are designed for children spending time in shelters due to ongoing air raids and shelling. Each kit includes knitted finger puppets, soap bubbles, a stress-relief ball, colored pencils, a mood ring, and stickers — tools that bring comfort and connection in difficult times.

“The Comfort Kits provide psychological first aid for children while creating new job opportunities for women affected by war,” said Vlada Nedak, CEO of Project Kesher Ukraine and founder of the Women’s Opportunity Fund.
