Project Kesher Israel Kicks Off Third Bat Mitzvah Program Cycle
Project Kesher Israel has begun the third cycle of its Bat Mitzvah program with 12 new participants. This year’s group consists of recent immigrants, including mother and daughter pairs, who have not yet had the opportunity to experience this significant milestone. Over the next two months, the Bat Mitzvah group will engage in intensive studies led by Rabbi and Cantor Debi Shuah Haim. The curriculum will cover Jewish women's lifecycle events, in-depth Torah portion study, and Hebrew chanting. It will culminate in a Bat Mitzvah ceremony for the women on Friday, September 13. The program promises to be a transformative journey, fostering both personal and communal growth, and creating deeper ties with participants’ Jewish heritage.
