New Law Deepens Support for Project Kesher Ukraine’s Wonder School of English
Anticipating the passage of Ukraine’s new law elevating English as a key language for international communication, Project Kesher continues to expand its Wonder School of English, launched by the organization’s Women’s Opportunity Fund in 2022. Today, the school is supporting the ambitions of Ukrainian women by offering year-long courses for beginners as well as business- and NGO-specific classes. It also runs weekly language clubs in collaboration with Cornell University, fostering a supportive online community of more than 600 women. The courses are taught by certified instructors and based on European CEFR standards.
Iryna, a Wonder School student and project manager for the charitable organization Odesa Mothers, shared her impressions: "There was a lot of speaking practice and new necessary vocabulary for NGOs, for example, for introducing projects, leading negotiations, and other meetings. We’ve gained new skills in writing CVs and knowledge of modern fundraising tools. For sure, I recommend this school to improve English language for professional and personal growth. Thank you very much!"
The opportunities made possible by institutions like The Wonder School empower Ukrainian individuals while enhancing the country’s global connectivity—a key priority as it moves closer to the European Union.
