Project Kesher Israel Launches Financial Literacy Program

Project Kesher Israel (PKI) is thrilled to announce the successful launch of its financial literacy program for new immigrants, led by Lora Lansky, PKI’s coordinator and certified bookkeeper. This hybrid program offers essential guidance in Russian, providing information on topics such as: the banking and credit card systems in Israel; making rent and loan payments; reading pay stubs; pensions; budget management; benefits; job searches; and resume and cover letter writing. Notable program trainings include intensive financial literacy studies, and hands-on assistance with applying for jobs, establishing a freelance career, and developing a local business.

With 55 attendees at the inaugural session and an additional 35 accessing the recording, the program is already making a tangible impact. This initiative is especially important for promoting economic empowerment and self-sufficiency among the country’s most vulnerable immigrant groups.
