Advocating for LGBTQ Interfaith Couples
Project Kesher Israel continues to work with LGBTQ interfaith couples who are fighting for both partners to be put on a track for citizenship in Israel. After PKI and its partner, the Israel Religious Action Center, were able to get recognition of an interfaith LGBTQ couple who were married through a “Utah marriage” - a remote marriage ceremony that can take place worldwide, PKI has continued to advocate for more couples to have their Utah marriages recognized. As the situation for LGBTQ couples in Russia continues to worsen, PKI and IRAC have been helping 4 LGBTQ couples navigate the consulate checking procedures so that they can make aliyah as a family.
