Red Sand Project

Red Sand Project uses participatory sidewalk interventions, earthwork installations, and convenings to raise awareness of the vulnerabilities that lead to human trafficking and exploitation. On November 26th in Kryvyi Rih, the women of Project Kesher Ukraine participated in this global initiative as a way of speaking out against violence against women. PKU activists scattered red sand into the cracks of the pavement, drawing attention to the real cracks in our society. PK Ukraine partnered with the Kryvyi Rih Police Department, Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, and Free Legal Aid Kryvyi Rih.
