Haifa LGBTQ+ Community Participates in Blood Donation Drive

Members of Project Kesher Israel’s Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking LGBTQ+ community in Haifa participated in a community blood donation drive hosted by Beit HaKehilot, Haifa’s LGBTQ Community Center. Participants volunteered, donated blood, and joined a broader effort to support Israel’s healthcare system.

For many LGBTQ+ participants, the event carried special significance. After years of restrictions that limited blood donation by LGBTQ+ individuals, donating blood symbolized inclusion, belonging, and active civic participation. The initiative highlighted the contributions of Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking LGBTQ+ immigrants while strengthening community engagement and solidarity in Israeli society.
