E-Bikes Help Frontline Medical Workers Reach Patients Faster

The Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine has donated six electric bicycles to the medical staff of the Dolynska Center for Primary Health Care in Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region, helping healthcare workers serve patients across a frontline community more safely and efficiently.

The center provides care to more than 4,000 residents across six settlements/villages. With long distances between patients’ homes, doctors and nurses often spend hours traveling on foot to deliver essential care to elderly, immobile, and bedridden patients.

The new e-bikes will reduce travel time, improve access to patients, lessen physical strain on healthcare workers, and enhance safety in a region affected daily by the battle to defend the frontline. By increasing provider mobility, the program helps medical professionals remain close to those who need them most, ensuring faster and more effective care for vulnerable community members.
