Project Kesher Israel Needs Our Support — Right Now
All weekend sirens have been sounding across Israel in such rapid succession that people cannot safely return home. Many of the women we serve — primarily immigrants living in older buildings without safe rooms — are stuck in shelters and parking garages for hours at a time.
They have no food. No water. No chargers. No warm clothing. Some have no cell signal at all.
With public transportation halted and attacks feared to continue, our coordinators are working nonstop — updating WhatsApp groups with safety instructions and shelter locations, sharing medical information, and trying to identify ways to reach women who are isolated underground.
They are checking in on participants between sirens. They are adjusting programs in real time. They are holding space for immigrant women who are frightened, overwhelmed, and searching for stability.
The women we serve already navigate economic insecurity and social exclusion. In times of national strain, they are often among the first to feel the impact and the last to receive support. One woman wrote: “It has been my fourth war in four years — and I am only 24.”
And yet, our team continues to lead. Now, they need us.
Your gift right now directly supports:
Emergency-responsive programming for immigrant women, including resources to women stuck in shelters
Expanded mental health access in the coming days and weeks
Ensuring our staff can respond quickly and continuously as the situation evolves
Project Kesher was built for moments like this: when resilience is required, when women’s leadership matters most, and when community is the strongest form of protection.
Please make a gift today to stand with our team in Israel.
