PKI Ramat Gan LGBTQ+ Group in Dialogue with Israeli Police

This week, PKI’s Ramat Gan LGBTQ+ group met with Adi Kroitzman, LGBTQ Community Liaison Officer for the Tel Aviv District of the Israel Police.

Group members — immigrants from post-Soviet countries where LGBTQ+ communities have often faced discrimination involving law enforcement — came with understandable hesitation. The meeting provided an opportunity for direct dialogue. Officer Kroitzman explained her role, shared her experience serving openly as an LGBTQ officer, and outlined available resources and procedures.

Participants asked practical questions about safety, discrimination, and how to file complaints. A direct communication channel was established, and attendees received clear information about how to seek support.

The meeting marked a constructive step toward building trust and strengthening participants’ confidence in accessing public services when needed.
