Financial Confidence as a Path to Integration
On October 5th, Project Kesher Israel’s LGBTQ+ group in Be’er Sheva hosted financial expert Roni Zakharin for a practical workshop on navigating Israel’s banking and credit systems, managing household budgets, and making informed financial decisions.
For immigrants, understanding an unfamiliar financial system can be a significant challenge, even after years of living in Israel. The opportunity to receive professional guidance in their native language encouraged participants to ask questions, share personal experiences, and discuss the financial difficulties they encounter in everyday life.
By helping Russian-speaking LGBTQ+ immigrants navigate essential aspects of Israeli life with greater confidence and independence, PKI makes the process of integration more comfortable and the country they live in more familiar.
