Finding Strength in a New Country

Ahead of the High Holidays, the PKI LGBTQ group in Haifa held a meaningful session with therapist and feminist leader Asya Istoshina on the theme of self-actualization in a new country. Participants shared the challenges of adjusting to life in Israel, from feelings of insignificance to navigating new work environments, while also discovering opportunities for growth and resilience.

Through guided reflection, the group explored moments of pride, recognition, and personal strength beyond professional roles. Together, they found encouragement and hope — supporting one another as they continue building their lives in their new home.
