Exploring Shared Heritage at a Jewish Weekend Event in Rivne

Project Kesher Ukraine’s latest Jewish Weekend in Rivne brought 167 participants together from across the country for two days of learning, conversation, and cultural exchange.

The event highlighted the deep intersections of Jewish and Ukrainian history and culture, offering lectures, workshops, tours, exhibitions, a theatrical performance, and even an intellectual game. Participants explored how Jewish life has shaped Ukraine’s past and continues to enrich its present.

“Multiculturalism is our wealth and strength,” said Vlada Nedak, Director of Project Kesher in Ukraine. “These weekends invite everyone to experience the shared history of Jewish and Ukrainian communities in new ways.”

As part of the event, Project Kesher and Playlist Quiz hosted ‘Cultural Fusion – All Inclusive Quiz!’ — a lively evening of memes, music, films, and fascinating facts about Jewish culture woven together with Ukrainian traditions.

Rivne is the sixth city in Ukraine to host a Jewish Weekend, following Lviv, Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, and Chernivtsi — continuing PKU’s commitment to celebrating Jewish heritage as part of Ukraine’s broader cultural story.
