Exploring Women’s Roles in Judaism

Project Kesher Israel’s women’s group in Petach Tikva recently gathered at the municipal House of Women’s Discourse for a thought-provoking session exploring the historical tension between Torah study and family life. Led by historian and rabbinic student Michal Natalie Kireeva, the lecture delved into how Jewish sages navigated these choices and how those traditions continue to shape gender roles today.

Kireeva’s presentation sparked meaningful discussion and offered a fresh perspective on the role of women in both Jewish history and contemporary Israeli society. The discussion highlighted the urgency of expanding educational opportunities for women across religious communities and underscored the importance of continuing the conversation about gender equity in spiritual and public life.
