Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine Announces First FemAgro Grant Winners

After three months of intensive training, Project Kesher Ukraine’s Women’s Opportunity Fund. (WOF-UA) has proudly named the first 15 recipients of their FemAgro educational grant program. Chosen from more than 1,000 applicants across three regions of Ukraine, the grantees emerged from the 32 finalists who presented their agricultural business projects. WOF-UA is proud to enter this segment of the market due to agriculture’s significant role in the Ukrainian economy, with 70% of agricultural products being exported, contributing 7.4% of the nation’s GDP.

The selected winners represent a wide range of innovative agricultural ventures—from organic cherry tomato production and greenhouse-grown herbs in Poltava, to specialty peppers and fermented sauces in Dnipropetrovsk, to lavender-based tourism and ornamental flower cultivation in Vinnytsia. These grants will empower women to grow their businesses and strengthen their communities.

“This grant support is extremely important for me,” said Tetyana, one of the winners. “It opens up new opportunities and provides valuable knowledge for successful implementation in the agricultural sector. Thank you for your faith in women’s potential!”
