Providing Tools for Academic and Professional Success

Thanks to the support of Project Kesher Ukraine’s Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA), Kateryna Loichenko, a 36-year-old displaced mother from the Chernihiv region, has taken a significant step toward academic and personal growth.  Born with a congenital disability, Kateryna has faced many obstacles, but remains determined to ensure a bright future for her toddler and three school-aged children. Thanks to a donation from WOF-UA’s WOnder School, she now has access to a personal computer, enabling her to study remotely and work toward her college degree.

Kateryna and her family sought safety and a fresh start after being forced to flee the Horodnia area due to ongoing shelling near the border. Despite the hardships of displacement, she remains committed to education as a pathway to stability and success. The support she received highlights the power of grassroots initiatives that empower women like Kateryna, who, in turn, lift up and give back to their communities.
