Empowering Israeli Immigrants Through Financial Literacy

Last Wednesday, PKI hosted a virtual session on financial literacy tailored specifically for its network of immigrants who continue to face barriers adapting to their new home. Led by certified bookkeeper Lora Lansky, the session was attended by more than 100 participants, who learned about Israeli consumer policies, received practical guidance on finding affordable essentials, and reviewed tips for creating and keeping budgets.

PKI has seen firsthand how many new immigrants from Ukraine and Russia arrive in Israel without a plan for financial security—the result of needing to flee from their home countries quickly. The organization is seeking to remove these and other barriers that continue to prevent individuals from leading full lives after making aliya.
