PKI Hosts Domestic Violence Awareness Session

Last week, Project Kesher Israel (PKI) hosted a “Together Against Violence” webinar with psychologist and social activist Ella Berchansky, where participants explored the signs of abusive behavior and the dynamics of codependency.

This conversation is especially vital for new immigrant women, many of whom come from environments where victim-blaming and denial of gender-based violence are common. The webinar was held on November 25th in recognition of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

Ella emphasized the importance of recognizing warning signs early, speaking openly about feelings of fear, gaslighting, and insecurity, and seeking help without hesitation. Participants shared personal stories and expressed deep gratitude for the tools and clarity they gained.

PKI remains committed to fighting gender violence and supporting those who have survived it. Sixty women attended the session.
