“Warmth of the Earth”: A Wartime Collaboration Rooted in Resilience
“Warmth of the Earth” is a symbolic collaboration between two Ukrainian brands — Vlasne (Chernihiv) and VECHIR (Bucha) — created during the war and supported through the Women’s Opportunity Fund’s SvyatKOLO mini-grant program.
The partnership brings together cultural memory and contemporary design in a gift set that reflects home, warmth, and renewal. Vlasne works with local heritage and symbols, while VECHIR creates handmade minimalist biofireplaces — a symbol of calm and light in uncertain times.
The set includes a soft “Mammoth from Mizyn” blanket inspired by one of Europe’s oldest archaeological sites, a handcrafted biofireplace made in Bucha, and thoughtful details such as biofuel, matches, marshmallows, chocolate, and a postcard — small rituals of everyday warmth.
More than a product, “Warmth of the Earth” is a story of resilience, memory, and the power of Ukrainian craft born even in the darkest times.
