English-language course for healthcare professionals draws participants from Ukraine and beyond
Project Kesher Ukraine’s WOnder School, in collaboration with the Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA), has concluded its first English-language course for women healthcare professionals. Over three months, the course offered radiologists, pediatricians, neurologists and infectious disease experts an intensive English-language learning experience, helping them bring their expertise to a broader patient community.
Led by highly experienced instructor Anna Shamayeya, the virtual course attracted students from all throughout Ukraine as well as the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Canada. Anna's engaging and tailored teaching approach, which includes focused lessons twice a week and targeted pronunciation exercises, helped participants make incredible progress.
One student, Yuliia, expressed, “I feel much more confident speaking and listening in English.” Another, Olha, praised the course for its structured and practical approach. Many reported significant improvements in their communication skills, both personally and professionally, and felt inspired by the dedication and support of their peers. As a result, numerous participants, motivated by the commitment and camaraderie of their fellow learners, are enthusiastically recommending this transformative experience to others.
