Project Kesher Travel Grant Recipient Attends European Conference for Midwives

With the support of a travel grant from WOF-UA, Olena Rozhenko, a dedicated doula and midwife from Dnipro, attended the International Confederation of Midwives’ European Regional Conference ICM Midwives360 in Berlin. Here she raised awareness about midwifery in Ukraine, gained knowledge about international care models, and fostered stronger partnerships to support Ukrainian midwives and global knowledge exchanges.

During the conference, Olena participated in meaningful discussions about how midwives can not only empower women of reproductive age, but also help fellow midwives continue their professional development. She plans to maintain communication with midwifery professionals worldwide, continuing to expand her expertise in pregnancy care, labor, postpartum recovery and breastfeeding support.

Olena is utilizing her insights to develop informational resources for pregnant women and new mothers in Ukraine. She says, “Every step towards acquiring knowledge brings us closer to creating a more high-quality and accessible midwifery care system worldwide.”
