Project Kesher Israel Successfully Advocates for Russian Translation of Key Online Resource

Project Kesher Israel recently succeeded in advocating that the nonprofit Kol Zchut make its prominent virtual platform on Israeli citizen rights accessible to the nation’s Russian speakers. The work of translating 80 pages of content from Hebrew to Russian is underway and is set to be completed and posted online in the coming months.

The advocacy was championed by Anna Talisman, head of the LGBTQ program at Project Kesher Israel, who has long given a voice to Israeli immigrants from Russia and Ukraine, especially those in the LGBTQ community.

Kol Zchut, or All Rights Index in English, was founded in 2010 with the goal of providing high-quality information about legal rights, benefits and entitlements in all domains, in plain language for Israeli residents, with a detailed explanation on how they can be realized. It covers nearly all spheres of life in Israel, making it an invaluable resource for populations across the country.

Access to such information is vital for newcomers in Israel in the early stages of learning Hebrew and still learning about their rights.
