Project Kesher Ukraine Kicks Off New Program for Women Leaders
Project Kesher Ukraine (PKU) is excited to announce the launch of its new initiative, "Jewish Women Leaders: Next Generation," aimed at empowering women to take on leadership roles within Jewish communities and organizations across Ukraine. Supported by the UJA-Federation of New York, this initiative will kick off with a three-day seminar-retreat in western Ukraine from August 23rd to 25th, where 20 women selected from across the country will gather to begin their journey. The event will be followed by a blend of online and in-person sessions that will run from September 2024 to May 2025.
“Jewish Women Leaders: Next Generation” will focus on leadership development and program design, examining these areas through a Jewish lens. It will help grow participants’ skills in project management, group work methodology and community engagement, and increase their familiarity with Jewish texts and traditions. Those who successfully complete the course will be eligible for travel grants, scholarships and the chance to receive funding for socially beneficial projects, empowering them to join the ranks of Ukraine’s women leaders making a significant and positive difference.
