Undeterred by War, Ukraine Women Continue to Thrive in WOF-UA Travel Grant Program
Amidst Russia’s heightened attacks, Ukrainian women continue to seek professional opportunities to help them continue providing for their families. This summer, project manager Iryna Volynchuk journeyed to Krakow as part of a Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA) travel grant to participate in a coveted internship. Ms. Volynchuk—a project manager who recently completed her postgraduate studies remotely at the University of Social Sciences in Łódź, Poland—described the opportunity as, “aimed to explore how Polish business support institutions operate and how Poland has progressed since joining the EU.” She is particularly interested in the prospects for Ukraine and in attracting new investors to fund projects that will contribute to the country’s post-war recovery.
Not only does WOF-UA’s travel grant program provide Ukrainian women professionals with vital educational and networking opportunities, it allows them to serve as ambassadors for their country in this dark chapter, advancing the cause for peace and stability.
