Expanding LGBTQ Rights Awareness in Israel

Thanks to the advocacy of Project Kesher Israel, Israel’s “Kol Zchut” platform—renowned for its coverage of human rights, medical rights and employment rights—has agreed to translate essential LGBTQ rights information from the Hebrew language into Russian. This initiative expands access to essential information for LGBTQ immigrants who have fled the homophobic regime in Russia, as well as the war in Ukraine, and face both legal and linguistic challenges as they make Israel their new home.

This development is significant, as language accessibility is crucial for combating discrimination. By ensuring vital information is available in Russian, Project Kesher and its partners are empowering individuals with the knowledge and resources needed to effectively advocate for their legal rights and those of their families.

Project Kesher Israel remains dedicated to fostering a more free, fair and equitable society for all people in Israel, including Russian-speaking LGBTQ individuals who can best thrive in an inclusive and supportive environment.
