With Demand for Programs Surging, Project Kesher Israel Launches 11 New Ulpans

This week, Project Kesher Israel launched 11 new tracks as part of the organization’s ulpans or intensive study programs. Despite having capacity for approximately 250 participants, 50 or so individuals remain on a waiting list, demonstrating the strong demand for this important work. All the attendees come from Israel’s Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking immigrant communities, which continue to need help navigating Israel’s bureaucracy and the hardships of war.

The ulpan tracks vary in format and geography. Some are virtual and others are in-person, with groups meeting in Jerusalem, Jaffa and Haifa.

Project Kesher Israel’s staff has been uplifted by this strong showing of community support as well as their ability to provide individuals with the critical personal and professional resources and support they need to adjust to life in a new country during an especially challenging year.
