Project Kesher Israel Rosh Hashanah Retreat: Celebrating Community and Strength

Nearly 170 participants from Project Kesher Israel (PKI) came together for a transformative pre-High Holidays study retreat in Ramat Gan, traveling from approximately 15 cities across Israel. This gathering offered a special opportunity for many to embrace new connections, share warm hugs, and engage in meaningful learning as they prepared to celebrate Rosh Hashanah— a first for many new immigrants.

Led by Rabbi Olya Weinstein, participants explored the profound significance of the High Holidays, delving into rich traditions and ceremonies that empower our community to recharge, gain strength, and cultivate freedom, especially in such challenging times. Psychologist Ella Berchansky also contributed valuable insights, discussing the importance of self-care during periods of stress and uncertainty.

Among the brave women present, 30 traveled from Haifa and other northern cities, demonstrating resilience and commitment to community despite current challenges. Their enthusiastic feedback highlighted the warmth and belonging they felt at Project Kesher gatherings, reinforcing that they are part of a vibrant community of empowered women. Through their involvement, these women discover a nurturing platform for growth and development, truly embodying the spirit of Project Kesher.
