Support Group in Ashkelon, Israel

On May 26th, Project Kesher Israel launched a new support group in Ashkelon for women who have fled Ukraine during the last month and are currently living in one of the local hotels. The women are from Mariupol, Karhkiv, and other cities that have faced major devastation during the war. Lora Lansky, Ashkelon resident and longtime PK Israel activist, is leading the support group, which will cover emotional needs, Jewish education, women’s rights in Israel, and adjusting to life in Israel. 25 women have been welcomed into the group, with many more having expressed interest. The women in this group are so grateful to have PKI to provide information and comfort as they settle into their new lives.
