Helping Displaced Women and Families

  • Since the start of the war, Project Kesher Ukraine has provided cash grants to 291 individual Ukrainian women, who are heads of multigenerational households, giving $98,000 to displaced Ukrainian families.

  • Displaced women across Europe are reporting a lack of access to medical professionals when needed. Many clinics are taking at least a month to see new patients and women who are dealing with stress, domestic violence, unplanned pregnancy or injuries sustained during war, need faster help. Project Kesher Ukraine leaders are negotiating with a number of clinics in cities where Ukrainian refugees are gathering to help subsidize immediate medical care for women.

  • 72 women across Europe have already signed up to participate in Project Kesher's online English courses for refugees. One of the courses is specifically geared toward people with babies and small children who need to navigate additional health and education systems.
