Breaking the Barriers to Women's Leadership
Project Kesher Ukraine hosted a webinar as a part of a new initiative to promote women's leadership in peace and resolution, Negotiation and Leadership: The Unique Contributions of Women to Inclusive Peace and Sustainability. Funded by the American Arbitration Association, the webinar was led by Mil Niepold (pictured above), founder and President of The Mara Partners, a global consulting, research, and training organization that works at the intersection of gender equality and the environment. Mil discussed strategies on how to negotiate for yourself as well as on behalf of other women. She discussed barriers to women’s leadership, unconscious gender biases, and why having more women in negotiations matters to companies, nations, and the planet. PKU participants included psychologists, professors, social activists, and other professionals, who had the chance to ask Mil for strategic advice on how to work through obstacles they are currently facing in the workplace.
