Women Entrepreneurs in Frontline Regions Awarded Summer Terrace Grants

The Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine has selected eight winners of its Summer Terrace Mini-Grant Program, supporting women-owned food service businesses in Ukraine’s frontline regions. The initiative provides grants of up to $1,130 to help cafés, bakeries, coffee shops, and other local establishments create or improve outdoor spaces that attract customers and strengthen business resilience.

The program prioritizes women affected by the war, including internally displaced women, military spouses, family members of fallen defenders, and women with disabilities. Recipients represent communities across Sumy, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

“Small businesses are often much more than a source of income—they are gathering places that help sustain community life,” said Vlada Nedak, CEO of WOF-UA and PKU. Through these grants, entrepreneurs will be able to expand and enhance their summer terraces, increase revenue, and contribute to the vitality of their local communities even amid the challenges of wartime.
