Enabling Opportunity Through Collective Support
Over the new year, the Women’s Opportunity Fund of Ukraine (WOF-UA) provided a laptop to Tetyana, who is internally displaced by the war in Ukraine and raising her disabled son as a single parent. This support was made possible through the combined efforts of committed partners and community members on the ground in Ukraine.
A portion of the funds to purchase the laptop was raised through a local employee-led holiday giving initiative at United Tech, with the remaining amount covered by charitable contributions from students of WOF-UA’s WOnder School.
Tetyana is a master’s student in psychology, and the author of a forthcoming book aimed at supporting other mothers raising children with disabilities. Access to a laptop is essential for her to complete her studies and continue her writing.
We extend our sincere appreciation to United Tech, the WOnder School community, and all who contributed. Their generosity has created a meaningful opportunity for progress and stability during an especially challenging time.
