Meet Agatha Klopot, Coordinator of Project Kesher Israel’s new LGBTQ Group in Ramat Gan
We are pleased to introduce Agatha Klopot, the coordinator of Project Kesher Israel’s new Russian- and Ukrainian-speaking LGBTQ group in Ramat Gan. With her extensive background in leadership and activism, Agatha is ready to make a meaningful impact. Hailing from the vibrant city of Odessa, Ukraine, she studied Arts and Theater before pivoting to LGBTQ advocacy.
As a driving force in her hometown, Agatha was instrumental in organizing Odessa's very first Pride parade, cementing her status as a respected leader in the movement. Since moving to Israel six years ago, she has continued her activism by collaborating with the Tel Aviv LGBTQ Center and supporting the amazing efforts of Anna Talisman in PKI’s LGBTQ program.
Today Agatha is creating a warm, inclusive environment for a highly vulnerable community. By partnering closely with the municipal LGBTQ Center, she is taking a historic step in addressing the critical needs of LGBTQ immigrants and, bigger picture, facilitating a more equitable civil society in Israel.
