Partner Profile: Nicole Maor Champion of Immigrant Rights in Israel

Project Kesher cannot advance its vital work without the help of leaders in our partner network, whom we will increasingly spotlight, building awareness of how collaboration drives impact. Today, we’re highlighting Nicole (Nicky) Maor, Director of the Legal Aid Center for Olim (LACO), which protects the rights of immigrants and converts in Israel, helping them obtain government benefits and gain citizenship. 

Nicole is one of Israel’s most expert and well-known immigration attorneys. She has been instrumental in advising and representing over 100,000 new Israeli immigrants, including numerous individuals referred by Project Kesher Israel. A key ally of the organization, she has served as a champion for those who have fled the regime in Russia and war in Ukraine, including LGBTQ individuals who face added legal challenges.
