Project Kesher Ukraine holds Women’s Seder in Kyiv

For the first time in its three decades, Project Kesher Ukraine’s annual Women’s Seder used a Ukrainian-language Haggadah (the first-of-its-kind Haggadah created and released by PKU) when the group met in Kyiv on the eve of Passover. This annual gathering intertwines traditional elements of Jewish celebrations with a contemporary outlook on the role of women in society, and is a hallmark of Project Kesher’s work as a beacon of unity and empowerment for women.

According to Yuliya Robchynska, “To know the power of Jewish traditions, to bring the community together, to feel it - it's about the memory of generations. Our women's Seder helps a woman to 'awaken' her own connections to Jewish history and to feel a sense of responsibility for the future of the Jewish people.”

The women shared poignant moments as they voiced a collective prayer for the healing of the world. This year's event was not just a celebration, but also a testament to the enduring strength and spirit of the community, echoing through the streets of the Ukrainian capital.
