Project Kesher Israel Visits the New National Library in Jerusalem

Recently, Project Kesher Israel’s Jerusalem chapter embarked on an excursion to the brand-new National Library of Israel. Approximately 30 recent immigrants joined the tour, in which participants immersed themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Israel and the Jewish people.

The National Library of Israel, formerly Jewish National and University Library, is dedicated to collecting the cultural treasures of Israel and of Jewish heritage. It holds more than 5 million books, and is located in the Government complex near the Knesset.

The excursion reflects how Project Kesher helps forges connections between those who have newly immigrated to Israel and the country itself—critical to individuals’ ability to embrace their new home.
