Supporting Ukrainian Nonprofits to amplify the voices of women
Since the war escalated in Ukraine in February 2022, the number of nonprofits registered annually has increased sevenfold with nonprofits trying to fill in the humanitarian, human rights and educational needs. Unlike Project Kesher Ukraine (PKU), with nearly 30 years of experience, many of these nonprofits are new, unaware of how to comply with Ukrainian laws and how to connect with the global non-profit community. With this in mind, PKU and the Women's Opportunity Fund have launched and developed a specialized educational program to empower women leaders in Ukraine's nonprofit sector to advocate for women and girls.
The program enables women to enhance their professional skills, expand their specialized vocabulary, and study financial terminology, grant writing, and cross cultural communication to elevate collaborations with international organizations through written materials and engaging videos.
The Wonder School is an online English language school that offers a range of programs and levels, from English for beginners to specialized courses designed for businesses and nonprofit organizations. 120 women are currently participating in its programs.
