In 2022, Victoria and her four young children left their hometown of Melitopol as the full-scale war in Ukraine escalated. They moved to another region, and they began dreaming of returning home. Victoria’s oldest son serves in the army. Victoria was one of 10 winners of WOF-UA’s initiative to supply computers and computer literacy training to women with multiple children. All 10 have now received their computers and begun their training. With close to 1,000 applicants, this initiative will expand significantly in 2024.
Victoria writes: "The war continues. I understand that I need to make some changes. I need to educate my children, adapt to this new reality, and set and achieve new goals. A computer and an educational course from The Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA) have been essential for me to acquire new knowledge that will help me find my own way and explore my potential. I only graduated from university in 2023 and I believe that it's never too late to learn. I've always been so busy with my five children, but I am sure that I can find a job now or work remotely! Thank you for helping me build confidence in my abilities!"
