Empowering Wellness: PKU’s Yoga Sessions for Pregnant and Postpartum Women

 
 

PKU provides free online yoga sessions for pregnant and postpartum women. In 2024, 60 women have already signed up based solely on word of mouth. Yoga sessions help expectant mothers maintain physical and mental health during pregnancy. Postpartum classes contribute to muscle recovery and strengthening, improve flexibility, and help overcome stress and tension in the body after childbirth. Both of these demographics desperately need ways to stay calm and flexible in wartime Ukraine. Yulia, a certified yoga and pilates instructor, leads the yoga sessions employing her certifications in Iyengar yoga, aerial yoga, prenatal yoga, and postpartum rehabilitation.
