Supporting IDPs in Dnipro

With the next round of mini-grants for woman-owned Ukrainian small businesses in progress, Project Kesher Ukraine’s Women’s Opportunity Fund (WOF-UA) is coaching prospective participants through the application process, including best practices for business plans and cover letters. PKU is looking specifically at entrepreneurs in Dnipro, the region in Ukraine with the most internally displaced persons with over 400,000. The region has become a new home for many Ukrainian women, who along with their families, have relocated from occupied territories. Women in this area are reviving their businesses and need financial support. WOF-UA is collaborating with the Department of Entrepreneurship of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Administration, the City of Kryvyi Rih, and the district state administration on the application process. The impact of the grant competition goes beyond accepted participants, and includes guidance for applicants and private mentoring for those with promising business plans who aren't ready for funding at this time.
