Supporting LGBTQ+ Ukrainian Immigrants

Project Kesher Israel Executive Director Rabbi Olya Weinstein and Tel Aviv LGBTQ+ Center volunteer Evit Kado were invited to speak on an international Telegram channel that broadcasts to Russian-speaking LGBTQ+ communities in Israel. The segment was dedicated to LGBTQ+ community members planning to make aliyah, immigrate. Rabbi Weinstein spoke about the different Jewish denominations and their approach to LGBTQ+ families, and Evit shared essential information regarding the immigration process. LGBTQ+ couples are currently not able to live openly and proudly in most countries in the region, and PK Israel is working tirelessly to support Jewish LGBTQ+ refugees and others impacted by war as they face extra hurdles relocating to Israel.
