Amplifying Women's Voices Around the World
Project Kesher is proud to announce that award-winning singer and arranger Mayta Cohen is teaching our activists in Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, and Israel how to use free software to arrange and produce online music. In her first workshop on January 13th, Mayta worked with 35 participants on writing music that they can perform and share. The second workshop on January 20th will explore creating and releasing a capella music. An a cappella enthusiast, Mayta has written, orchestrated, and directed a 24-number sung-through musical, and has performed in six countries. The culmination of these workshops will be a contest for best Project Kesher original video, where participants will implement the skills they have learned. The winner will receive $250 and have their video featured on our social media channels.
