Project Kesher GirlSpace

In 2021, Project Kesher Russia launched GirlSpace, a program focused on empowering the next generation of Jewish women activists. All meetings were held entirely online with a small group of girls across the country. Since the initial launch, PK leaders in Samara, Perm, Kazan, Moscow, Tashkent, and Volgograd have built strong GirlSpace communities in each city with in-person meetings and events. GirlSpace helps build confidence, knowledge, life skills, and Jewish community, and the participants have played a key role in the development of the program by choosing topics that are of interest and fit their needs. As the initiative now includes nearly 70 girls, we are proud of the GirlSpace leaders and participants for developing such an influential program so quickly.

“GirlSpace creates a safe space for girls to learn more about themselves and develop as leaders. It's amazing to see the kind of impact that this program has on their self-esteem and personal and professional growth." - Sonya B.

"For me, being a coordinator is important, because it is a chance to express my thoughts and values through projects and events for our participants. This is an opportunity to communicate with outstanding girls, support them, and provide a platform for their self-fulfillment.” - Inna B

"I strive toward my goals and want to move others towards theirs. This is a new step in my life and an experience that will significantly help me in the future." - Maya B, Volgograd

“Through this program, I’ve grown to love and appreciate myself, and have helped other girls do the same. Project Kesher GirlSpace has become such an important part of my life, helping me share my experiences and expand my boundaries. Being able to guide these girls is a valuable privilege.” - Lisa
